My goal

So I had just spent a long time writing a rant about the saying "Do as I say, not as I do" but I decided that it sounded really cynical and angry and I decided that it probably wouldn't be the best thing to publish on my blog because I really am not that kind of person (thanks to Jamie for helping me realized that). To make a long story short, I do not agree with the above statement and it really bothers me when people follow it. I know I am not the best at it so that is why I decided to make a goal. Actions speak louder than words and I hope that by my actions I can influence someone for good. I am going to try hard to practice what I preach. I do not want to be considered a hypocrite of any kind. So there you have it. Wow...this post is just full of sayings. Welp, have a good one!

Funny story

So Me and Juicy drove to Salt Lake last Sunday to hear the Motab sing for Music and the spoken word and a mini concert. It was way good! I just love the motab! Anyhow, we were driving home and had just dropped off one of jamie's friends. You know how the semi-trucks will tow other semi-trucks and it will look like it is going the wrong way on the highway? That happened to me. Jamie was going to pull over to a turn lane but there was this big rig in the way. I kept saying things like "no Juice" or "what are you doing" or "we can't go this way" because I thought the guy driving the semi was really dumb and had pulled into the wrong lane and then just stopped there. Yeah..go figure..I was the dumb one. It was way funny. I wish I could find a picture of it but this is the best one I could find.

I am thankful for....

This past weekend was Thanksgiving for all of you who didn't know. I was able to see my parentals and the two little ones and spend time with the Carlisle side of the fam. It was fun. But the real reason for me posting is to show things I am thankful for. You know, I've always heard that being thankful and counting your blessings will show all that the Lord has done.
I am thankful for:
-My family
-Parents who answer the phone no matter what time it is
-Living in America
-Being able to play games...all sorts
-Having a job..even though sometimes I don't really like to work
-The semester coming to an end
-Friends who teach me how to snowboard and then go on missions..they are just good examples
-texting
-Laughter
-My quick wit...haha
-being able to help my sister spell words cause then I feel smart..S-M-R-T!
-Cousins who still like me (i hope) even though sometimes I don't play soccer very well and who cheer when I actually do something good
-memories
-being able to play the piano and sing SATB
-My camera cause then I can take fun pictures and make fun music vids
-A house that has a heater for when it is chilly outside
-treaties...mainly chocolate covered raisins..weird I know but I just love them
-modern technology
-clothing
-warcraft
-rollercoaster tycoon
-ETC..yes I am grateful for etc

Maybe one day I will have to continue this list but that is enough for tonight. I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving like me! Loves!!

I AM LEO!

So Jacque sent me this horoscope thing that kinda tells you how you are. Here is what mine says about me..I will be making comments throughout which will be in parentheses and in black.

LEO - The Boss (Yes sir! I love being the boss)
Very organized (hmm..somehow I think this isn't too true. You should see my room. I guess it should say likes organizing but is lazy..that's what it should say..but I do like things like my notes, my work area, and such to be organized. It really bothers me when it isn't). Need order in their lives - like being in control. Like boundaries (...like rules? Yes I do..and it makes me angry when they aren't followed...unless I break them..haha). Tend to take over everything. Bossy (I do like to be in charge. Especially when something needs to get done like at work). Like to help Others (True! That is one of the reasons I want to teach and coach..hopefully I will be able to make a difference in someone's life). Social and outgoing (I really like being with my friends and I very much enjoying playing..outside especially..in fact, I would much rather play than do anything else) . Extroverted. Generous (Honestly, I really don't like to share my stuff), warm-hearted . Sensitive (I may not show it all the time, but really I am). Creative energy (Yeah..you should see some of the stuff I create..I think my creations are pretty cool). Full of themselves (I am full of myself...who else would I be full of? I thought this was funny because my previous comment was 'I think my creations are pretty cool'...go figure...I would say that I definitely full of myself even though I try not to be). Loving. Doing the right thing is important to Leos (I agree with this statement...but really, who would want to do the wrong thing?). Attractive (Of course).

Three days...I'M DONE

This is the last day I have to post! YIPPEE! It has been a great day and then the fact that if I choose, I don't ever have to blog again. So today was Halloween. HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! Jamie and I were punky pirates..or piratey punks...or punks...or pirates. It was way fun. My most favorite part of my costume was the earrings. They are so cool!! We helped out at Aunt Sue's school with the spook alley. It was so funny. It kinda sounds creepy that I got a kick out of scaring little children but it was hilarious. I got to be a gorilla and stand in a cage and rattle the bars and then after that, I hurried over to a cabinet thing and popped out as the wee ones walked by. It was awesome. I had to leave the spook alley to go to work and I think I had the best costume at work. It definitely has been a good Halloween! How was yours?

two.....

two words: Goal ball. What is it? An olympic sport. How many are on a team? Three. How do you score? Get the ball across the back line. What is the ultimate object? Score more than the other team. How do you stop the other team from scoring? By have a perfectly executed defense. How is it different from other sports? You can't see. And no, I did not make a mistake.... Goal Ball is a paralympic sport for people who are blind. In order to make it fair, each player is blindfolded (because some people are legally blind without glasses but can still see images). In my class, the players were blindfolded, and tried to play this game. For people who rely a lot on sight, taking it away and making us use our other senses was quite funny. The ball has a bell in it and you have to try to listen for it and stop it. It was just way entertaining to watch. I am amazed at the people who actually play this sport for the paralympics. Here is a video so you can get a better idea about what I am talking about. You don't have to watch the whole thing...I didn't.

Cause it's one.......

Only three days left. What to blog about today.........(this is me thinking about what I am going to blog about)...................................oh yeah. I completely forgot about what happened today. For human physiology lab today, guess what we got to do. Analyze our Urine. WOOT WOOT! I don't know about the rest of you but that is something I have been dreaming about for a long time (okay not really. You caught me). So it was way funny and I will tell you why. If you have a weak stomach, you probably shouldn't continue (but you did anyway...well I warned you). So first we had to collect our urine in a cup and pour it into a vial. I don't know why but Jamie had a few problems doing that...it was smooth sailing for me! After the specimen was in the vial, we had to store in in the refrigerator until we were ready to head to school. We had to ride the bus and that is when the laughter started. First Jamie turns to me and says "Guess what I have in my bag." Then we just started laughing. On the way to class we had to stop and put our urine samples in a huge refrigerator thing in order to keep it cool because we had a large break in between the collection process and the analysis. As we walked to the building the lecture is in, I turned to Jamie and said "What if Andy (our professor) started class and said 'I'm sorry to inform you all but all the urine samples have been stolen." Then we started laughing again. There were quite a few other funny things we said to each other throughout the rest of the day. Finally, it was time for lab. We got there and started talking and comparing each of our urine samples. Mine was pretty much clear. I made sure to drink tons of water before I went to sleep last night. Jamie's was a little more yellow (and by a little I mean a lot). The lab was pretty interesting actually. I found that mine was negative. Pretty much that means nothing is wrong and you are a healthy individual. If you haven't had a chance to analyze your own urine, I would suggest doing so. I think everyone should participate in the tinkle lab at least once in their life.

Only four more to go! YES!

It has been very difficult to post everyday. Luckily I actually did something different so I have something to blog about. Last night we had an FHE halloween party. It wasn't my most favorite halloween party ever but me and Jamie sure looked mmm...mmmm...good. We were 1920s baywatch babes. OH YEAH! We would've looked good in that time period.

Back in the Library again

I think this will be the third post that I have done in the library. I am glad that the library lets me access the internet in order to ease the pains of boredom. I have decided that I really enjoy making lists so here is what I am going to blog about...

11 Things I have learned in college:

1. Studying is really important.

2. Friends are fun but your family is way better because they will always be there for ya. For example, I have changed friends every year since I was a sophie in high school...My family has stayed the same..go figure

3. Money is a very important but finite commodity. SAVE IT ALL!!!

4. The more you put into something, the more you'll get out of it (like a bank account...or life..)

5. Sleep is one of the best things ever invented

6. Don't procrastinate! Get it done early and then you won't have to worry about your printer breaking the day your paper is due!

7. You pick up things from the people you are with day after day..choose who they are wisely!!

8. It's okay to fail as long as you learn from it and do better the next time

9. Don't worry about making other people happy, just make yourself happy. If you are happy, usually others will follow

10. Every bad day you choose to have is a good day that has been wasted. Remember the good and replace the bad

11. Beware of Valsalva's Maneuver (just for you juice...just for you..)

There you have it! The wisdom of a third year college student written in ten basic things..it is amazing that it my all knowledge could be compiled into something so short.

Coming soon to a blog near you: a things not to do list...it will be epic!

The Ideal Sunday Din

My wish for each sunday is to have the Ideal Sunday Dinner. Sometimes I don't get my ideal sunday din but that is okay because usually it is delicious anyway. But, for those of you who don't know what it is, I am so sorry for you. This is what it consists of: Mashed potatoes, brown gravy, corn, rolls, and usually some other vegetable like broccoli, cabbage, squash, etc. It is so delicious. My favorite is when my mother dearest makes it! YUMMO!

Do you remember?

Last night, Jamie was playing 80's music again and I was reminded of a dance move that me and my older sisters would always do. I just have one question for you, Joni and Jacque, Do you remember doing this?

HAHAHAHAHA!

Rollercoaster!!!

So there is this game called rollercoaster tycoon and I love it. Last year I tried to install in on my computer and it never worked. But a couple days ago I decided I would give it one more chance. It worked and my life became one step closer to being complete. It was pretty much the best day of my life. Sometimes it gets hard though cause I have to limit myself. Going to school and having rollercoaster tycoon on the computer does not equal A's. But no worries..Jamie is here to help keep me on track (unless she starts playing...muah ha ha ha!) This is the current level I am on. WOOT WOOT!

Days off

I absolutely love it when I have a day off from work. Today I got to go chill with my friends Kasey and Jake. We drove Kasey's new '09 mazda 3 and got jamba juice. She has such a nice car. I am jealous a little. It was a good time. And then I came home and studied some and then me and Juicy went shopping (and by shopping I mean looking), listened and watched awesome 80's music videos and played some ball. It was great. Oh and we learned some really sweet dance moves from the 80's music vids that I'm pretty sure will get us all the guys. If you want to see them, you'll have to wait until we do another music video I think..or maybe I'll feel like showing you one day.

The Paint Dance

This week is Utah State's homecoming week. To start if off, there was a paint dance. It was fun. I wish Jamie would have come but oh well. It took me about an hour and all the hot water to get the paint out of my hair. It was awesome! Here is what happened to me:

Mysterious beeping noise

There is a mysterious beeping noise in the projects and by "the projects" I mean the house I am living in. It keeps going off and Jamie is going crazy because she can't tell where to find it. I think that it may be coming from a smoke detector but who knows. We have a poltergeist television, so we could have a poltergeist beeping noise too. The mystery continues....

Corn Maze

I went to a corn maze for the first time in my life. It was way fun. We went with a big group but me and mike got separated and we totally were the first ones out. It only took us about 45 minutes! And when I called the others, were way far back. I was so proud of us. At one point there was a big barrel by the side and as we were walking up to it, I saw about six girls hide in it. So I quietly walked up and said "RRAAAWWRRR" in my scariest voice and they all screamed in their high girly screams..haha! It was way funny. Probably the highlight except for the fact that it didn't take super long. Now I want to go when it is haunted..DUN DUN DUN!

Here's the deal

So I was thinking...I have worked way hard to update my blog but all of my other favorite bloggers (except for Joni) have not update their blogs for a while. I know I brought this goal of a post everyday in October on myself, and sometimes I really regret it, but I would really appreciate it if everyone else updated theirs. So I think tomorrow (tuesday) if you read this message, you should update your blog. As you can see, it doesn't have to be anything real neat cause mine sure aren't but I just want to know what is going on. Even if you have to do a random post about nothing (which was one of my favorites to write by the way)..just do it. So PUHLEEZE update! Thanks a bunch.

Baby, it's cold outside

IT IS SNOWING IN LOGAN...well...it has been. It is not even the middle of october and it is snowing. Maybe snowboard season will come early this year. Too bad I don't have any monies. Logan weather is so interesting. I have come to the conclusion that the seasons go like this:
Summersummersummersummer
fall winterwinterwinterwinterwinter springspring summer....

I hope it warms up cause I don't really want to play flag football in the snow but if I must, I must.

Here are some pictures of the cool things I discovered I could do with my computer and my camera! YIPPEE!

AMAZAZING!

There is this game called minesweeper that I enjoy playing. It has been over a year since I started playing and I finally won! It was AMAZAZING! I was so happy so I took a picture.

Here is the proof that I won! It only took me 5 and a half minutes! Woot Woot!

Sittin in the back of the bus

When I ride the bus, I like to watch people. It sounds kinda creepy but people are interesting. The other day there were two high school girls on the bus. They looked like they could be about 16 or 17. They were watching a little baby that was being held by its mother. One of the girls said "She's way cute. I just want to have a baby." The other girl said, "Why don't you?" And the first girl replied, "I can't find a guy..well, a guy that would stay with me after." ...In my head I was thinking, "are you crazy? you are way too young to have a kid. That would completely ruin your high school life." It is amazing to me how society is. These young girls already want to have kids. There is no way I want to have to deal with a kid. There are way too many things that I want to do and that I need to do before I even entertain thoughts about having a baby. I definitely don't want one at this time in my life. My cutest nephews and little cousins (second cousins, my cousin's kids, whatever you want to call them) are good enough for me! I wonder what those girls really think. Sure, babies are fun until they start crying but at least you can give them back to their parents. Sometimes I wonder if a good birth control technique would be to give the girls a baby for a week or so if they really want to have one. They would have to take care of it for the whole week. No daycare, no babysitters, not outside help. It would be interesting to see if they would still want one or if they would decide that a baby isn't right for them at that time in their life. Sometimes people are just crazy...no I take it back...sometimes people are just without the gospel!

It's getting harder and harder....

Man..writing everyday is very challenging. It is hard to think of stuff to write about. Coming up with new and interesting topics is difficult. I pretty much have the same routine everyday and I don't think you want to read about school and work because it really isn't too exciting. I guess one thing that was cool was I found out in my physiology lab that it takes me five and a half minutes to coagulate. I had to cut my self and time how long it took for the platelet plug to form. It took Jamie like six or six and a half minutes. I was so proud of myself for being able to coagulate faster than Juice. Ha Ha! I'm pretty sure that I am the fastest coagulator in my family but I guess to really determine that, I'd need a blood pressure cuff, a lot of surgicutts, and the round cottony paper thing that is used to soak up the blood. If any of you have those, let me know ASAP! It is muy importante para mi vida! I guess I could always look at D.I!

E.M.S. United

We had a soccer game again tonight and we won! WOOT WOOT! It was a tough game cause us girls (me, jamie, and joann) didn't have any subs until almost the end of the first half until thankfully the amazing Kami arrived! The game was a lot closer than it should've been. We'd get a good lead going at the beginning of each half but toward the end we would just get tired! Jamie scored a goal again, Joann also scored, I had a lot of shots on goal but none of them seemed to find the back. I had two assists though so that was cool. I helped Jamie get her goal so we had the sorenson sister 1-2 punch going. It was way fun. I'm so glad that we have Neils and Dave on our team. Dave had some way awesome saves including a couple of diving ones. I am have so much fun playing on the team and definitely think that we are a lot better than we were when we first started. Hopefully next week we will have more subs! GO E.M.S. UNITED!

I just like sweats

Ya know how when girls usually see something they like that another person is wearing they say stuff like "oh I really like her shoes" or "that is a way cute shirt," well today in volleyball before class started a girl walked in and I turned to my friend and said "I really like her sweats." Who says that?! Apparently I do. My friend just laughed at me. I guess girls usually don't make comments about sweats but I do all the time...and I make comment about basketball shorts too. Good luck guessing what my favorite articles of clothing are.

Later today I got to see one of my friends who I haven't seen for over a year! His name is Mike Frame. It was way fun. We went and got coldstone ice cream (cake batter with reese's and marshmallow creme..yummo). It was fun to catch up and I got free coldstone ice cream. In fact, that was pretty much my only real date for a long time.

What are we going to do tonight? The same thing we do every night...

...Try to take over the world! Mwah ha ha ha! Funny story...Jamie and I were sitting at Grandpa and Grandma C's kitchen table with Carli Sue. I don't know how it got started but we told Carli that we were trying to take over the world. We said we had computers in the basement we got at D.I. and they were constantly working, tracking number patterns, and doing all sorts of scientific stuff. We also said that one computer was focused only the economy and the stock market. The computers were finding patterns in the stock market and will let us know the exact moment to invest all our monies. We also told her we had an experimental table with beakers, test tubes, and such that we also got from..guess where..The D.I. We were running tests with our beakers and were figuring out the best method to take over the world. Carli, being the non-believer, asked "Do you have any extra uranium around?" And I being the witty girl I am said, "We don't do anything with nuclear materials." And Jamie, the clever girl she is, said, "Yeah, we don't want to spill a drop and have an explosion." That was the jist of the conversation. Later on, Jamie and I realized that Carli was gone. She went over to our house to check in the basement to see if we had the computers and the test table. It was really funny! The End!

The weekend

This past weekend was general conference. It was a pretty good weekend other than I missed the saturday afternoon session because of work. That was a major bummer! I didn't want to be working at all! My parentals and the two little ones made there way up to L-town. It was so good to see them! I really enjoyed the talks in the first session of conference. They were way good.

Sunday was such a great day! I was able to sleep in for once and just have a nice day to listen to the leaders of the church and spend time with my family. We (by we, I mean me and Jamie) went over to watch conference with my family at Grandpa and Grandpa S's house. After that, the extended family, minus a few, all got together for lunch. It was fun to have everyone together for those couple hours. After lunch, my family and I made our way over to Grandpa and Grandma C's to watch the last session of conference. I am grateful for the messages that were shared and I can't wait to read them again when the ensign comes out. (I admit, I slept through a couple...their voices are just too soothing). It was a pretty good weekend!

Tales of wonder..filled with excitement!

So, yesterday I pretty much had the best day of my life. I got home from school and I was hungry. I didn't really want to make anything so I just pulled out my unopened box of cereal. I looked at the box and saw that there was a FREE ADVENTURE SPOON INSIDE! It was an indiana jones box by the way. I opened the box up and there it was! My free adventure spoon! I must say eating that particular bowl of frosted flakes with my spoon was quite an adventure. It even has a button to make a red light turn on and off. Heck yes!

And I put a video on youtube.com. It is called Devil in Blue. It is kinda hard to find so if you search it in quotations, that makes it easier. Or you can search for videos posted by Bazookajan cause that's me. Watch it! Neils says that I will be a youtube celebrity so the more hits I have, the better!

What if....

I have come to the conclusion that it would be amazing if I could find something to blog about everyday in October. I know, I know, you all are thinking, "But Sara, you missed October 1st." I decided that since October has 31 days, Missing one day is just fine because other months only have 30 days. In fact, I could actually miss 2 more days because February only has 28. Awesome! This seemingly impossible task is becoming more and more feasible by the moment. Two Days down, only 28 more to go!

It's not too late to apologize!

I must apologize because I lied to you...Jamie doesn't really think that cheddar cheese is gross. She only thinks it is gross when I eat cheddar cheese slices, cubes, blocks, etc. ..that's all. Sorry for deceiving you all!

I just want to write

I don't really have a reason for writing..just that I want to write. Sometimes I just feel a need to update my blog. The question is, what should I write about? Nothing super cool has been happening...well, that's a lie because my life is super cool in and of itself. I should have said nothing new has been happening. I am enjoying school which is good I guess. I am way sad though cause my flag football class is ending in a couple weeks and besides the couple injuries, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I can honestly say that it is pretty much the best class of my life!! Work has been going good. My team actually has been working so the entire back area is clear! YAHOO! It has been a long time coming..hopefully it will stay that way or heads are possibly going to roll. Alright...I just want to make a list...I don't know what this list will be about exactly but it will be a list. Here goes:
I really want it to snow but only in the mountains, I love to each chocolate covered raisins and I could go for some right now, I hate it when people bail out on me, Sometimes I feel the need to just do something crazy, I am hungry, I love the movie Iron man and I can't wait for The Dark Knight, The toothpaste I have leaves a funny taste in my mouth and I don't like it very much, I really wish I could have a Great Dane right now, I think I was born to be a soccer player, I hate it when guys say that girls can't do something..(like one time I lifted this desk that wasn't very heavy and the guys I was bringing it to said "you shouldn't do that by yourself" and it bothered me because no one ever says it to the guys)..I will prove you wrong one way or another, I wish I could be a pirate or a ninja, Jamie thinks cheddar cheese is gross but I love it, I want to play a game, I actually don't mind doing the laundry..I just hate hanging the clothes back up, sometimes I hear songs that make me feel like my I.Q. dropped when it was over, I am excited to be an auntie again, I miss Joni and Rocky and Jacque and Dean and Jaxon and Carson all the days of my life, Sometimes I have to help Jamie spell priority, and finally I love my family so much and they are my most favorite family EVER!

My new Favorite ride

So Yesterday, my sister and I and some friends went to Lagoon. It was way fun but I think my new favorite ride..which is an old ride..is the Bumper cars. They are so hilarious. I mean..we all get a kick out of driving around in these little cars and trying to run into each other as hard as we can. It is so funny. Whenever Jamie and I ran into each other we would just sit and laugh. Another thing I learned from lagoon is that the rides are what you make them. Re-entry was my other favorite for the day. When you scream as loud as you can with your hands in the "rock on" position, any ride is amazing! It was a good time!!

Today, Alli Brown, Jamie, and I took pictures with photobooth on Aunt Sue's Mac. It was so funny. Aunt sue has a great desktop picture now! Here are some of the pictures we took and hopefully I'll get the video I took up here sometime.

Updates

So this is what has been happening with me lately.

In flag football I got hit again and got another bloody nose. The guys are just way to competitive I tell ya. I mean, am I not allowed to catch the ball? I guess not. But yesterday, flag football was way fun. I actually got to touch the ball more. Maybe the guys are realizing that, yes, I can catch and throw the ball.

Work has been going good. I'm kinda getting tired of it but hey...sometimes we get to do things we don't have the greatest desire to do. There are a few kids I work with that I have a very hard time with. I just wish they knew how to work. Instead, they do everything else but what needs to get done. Sometimes they do things that make it so I can't get what I need done. I hope sometime they will learn that when you are at work, you need to work. Funny how that is...

One night, I told Jamie that she could come into my room if she could jump from my door to my bed. She made some silly attempts for a long while...as she was making these attempts, she pulled out an old swimsuit of mine and said that I had to wear it over my clothes and jump to my bed. I tried to put the swimsuit on but I couldn't get it past my hips. I just started laughing and then Jamie started laughing and I don't know about Jamie but I was laughing so hard I was crying. She finally made a good jump to my bed and said that is was my turn. I was a major chicken and I couldn't do it. Oh well. It was a good laugh. Luckily we didn't get a picture or video of me in the swimsuit...but here are some videos of
Jamie.
One of Jamie's attempts

We were laughing way hard in this one. It kinda sounds like I am crying.
I have the swimsuit on..but luckily you can't see it.

Jamie made it without hurting herself!

Instructions for life Part Two

Here are the other Instructions for life! I know you have all been anxiously waiting...sorry it took me so long!

9. Open your arms to change but don't let go of your values.

10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

11. Live a good honorable life. Then, when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.

12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.

13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.

14. Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality.

15. Be gentle with the earth.

16. One a year, go someplace you've never been before.

17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds the need for each other.

18. Judge your success by what had to give up in order to get it.

19. Approach love and cooking with reckless ambition.

Pretty good I think.

Instructions for life Part One

In my Mental Aspects of Sport Performance class, we talked about instructions for life. It was really awesome and I thought I would share them with you. This are only the first eight...I will get the rest of them on Monday.

1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
- In china, the definition of crisis is an opportunity while riding a dangerous wind.

2. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

3. Follow the three R's: Respect for yourself, Respect for others, and responsibility for all your actions.

4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

5. Learn the rules so you can break them properly.

6. Don't let a little dispute end a great relationship.

7. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

8. Spend sometime alone each day.

So there is the first half. I really think it is awesome that we are going over this in class. It is nice to know that there are good people out there with good values that aren't members of the church. I hope you take these to heart and be excited for the rest! I sure am!

Flag Football

I am in a flag football class and it is way fun..except when creepy guys guard me and the other boys get way too into it. Anyway, today I was playing and for an extra point after a touchdown I got to be QB. All the guys were just waiting for me to throw it but to their surprise, I just ran it in. It was so awesome! That was like the play of the game or something..haha. Another time I ran to get a guy's flag and he juked to get away from someone else and went the opposite direction to which I was going. Needless to say I was clobbered. My glasses flew off my face. I hurried and found them and they were not broken. I put them back on my face and realized that my face hurt. I was going to start playing again but then my nose started bleeding. It was a double bloody nose...blood was coming out both nostrils. I quick ran to the bathroom and got it all taken care of. When I came back out, the other guys who I had played with earlier all asked if I was okay but the team I was on the moment didn't really say anything. I didn't like playing on their team so much anyway. Hopefully I will be back to my original team on Monday!

The new team

We had a soccer game last night. It was way fun! It is the start of the fall session and so we had to be official and sign waivers. I can't sue the arena anymore..bummer. Anyway we have two new people on the team and luckily they are way good at soccer. It sure makes me happy. We were up by enough points so I got to play goalie. Man! It was scary! I blocked two shots..cool huh! Uncle Fred was nice enough to coach me on the sidelines. I sure have a whole new appreciation for Dave...he is a good goalie. Oh, and Jamie got her second goal...first of the new session.

I want to play too!

I decided that I also wanted to play the game found on Joni and Kami's blogs. So here goes!

1. Sara needs: to work out

2. Sara needs: your help in the "perfect" shot

3. Sara needs: a lawyer

4. Sara needs: a loving family that can provide her with structure

5. Sara needs: Sara time!

6. Sara needs: to come back

7. Sara needs: paints

8. Sara needs: YOU! (haha)

9. Sara needs: to learn to chew with her mouth shut

10. Sara needs: a loving, playful home (I guess my home/family isn't good enough and I need a new one..haha..my fam is the best)

Snowboard! Oh baby!

I ordered my snowboard a couple days ago! It should get here on Monday! I am so very very excited. It is a Salomon Lotus and it is sweet. I am so excited for winter already! If any of you want to go boarding, let me know because I sure want to!

The Ohio adventure...ended

So the Ohio Adventure is officially over. It is definitely bittersweet. Sweet - I am so glad that I don't have to spend hours in the Great Burbino (suburban). Bitter - I'm going to miss Joni and Rocky, and Jacque and Dean and the Boys so very very much! It was so much fun to be around them!
On Monday we got to go to Rocky's white coat ceremony. It was pretty cool. Apparently the white coat gets longer as you become closer to being a doctor. I always thought they were all the same length. Now I can officially call Rocky "Doc." We finally got our Ohio State t-shirts after the ceremony. We left Joni and Rocky in Ohio and headed to Michigan with Jacque and Dean.
On Tuesday we were able to watch Jaxon and Carson in their Gymnastics class. It was so funny. Jaxon is a head taller than all the other kids in the class and Carson is just Carson. Carson's class was awesome cause the kids are so uncoordinated. I really enjoyed watching them. Tuesday was a really good day because we got Sunday Dinner! We didn't have to eat out! Woot Woot! I also got my ice cream cake. It was delicious even if it was a few days late. As we left Jacque and Dean that night, we got lost for a while. It was funny. But my Dad says we weren't lost...go figure. He knew where we were and the general direction.
Wednesday we started the fun trip home. It was very long. I am glad we had four drivers so I only had to drive once each day. Driving for long periods of time makes me cranky and I start to wear my cranky pants. My Dad said that I have a cranky face too when I drive. I'm pretty sure that goes away once I am done driving. We didn't get a picture of it. But it is caused because I don't have sunglasses (mine are broken) and it is bright so I squint the whole time I am driving.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday were driving days. We were able to go to Notre Dame and to Mount Rushmore. Those were pretty cool! One night we were looking for a place called Samurai Sam's for dinner and we were driving around looking for it. After we had been driving for a while, Peggy excitedly screamed, "Fantastic Sam's!" She saw the haircutting place and thought it was Samurai Sam's. We were able to stop and see Chimney Rock and Wee granny's monument thing. We actually found two monuments and Peggy, after we saw the second one, said "She's buried here too?" It was pretty funny. I guess you could say little Pegsters was the comic relief.
We made it home on Saturday and there was much rejoicing. It was a way fun vacation but I am glad to be back in Springville for a few days.

The Ohio Adventure Continued...

I don't really remember the days anymore..they have kind of just meshed together. There is only 6 days left until we come home. I'm sad that I will have to leave Joni, Rocky, Jacque, Dean, and the two cutest boys in the whole wide world! It certainly has been fun spending time with them. Alright, on Friday we arrived in Columbus! Woot Woot! It was good to finally be here. We helped Joni and Rocky move their boxes in. Their house is pretty nice. That night we all slept on the floor somewhere in the house. That night Jaxon slept on a sleeping bag and I was about 8 feet away from him on another blanket. During the night he slowly rolled over and I woke up feeling a little something at my side. He slowly kept stealing my blanket and so I eventually just put my blanket on him and crawled over to his sleeping bag to sleep. Jaxon and I played a silent game of musical beds. Jacque said that I said some pretty funny stuff while I was sleeping. Apparently I do that a lot.
On Saturday it was my BIRFDAY! The big 2-0. It just feels the same as 19. We went to cedar point and it was fun until it started to rain. We had to miss out on the dragster which was a bummer dealio but it is all good. Tomorrow I get to have a cake! Woot!
Today, we were able to go to church in Kirtland. It was just dandy and then we went to the visitors center which was way cool and learned all about Newel K. Whitney and his wife and all the stuffs that went on there. We were also able to take a shortened tour of the Kirtland Temple. It was pretty neat. It definitely is amazing that the saints were able to build all the stuff they did.

Ohio is where I'm from....Part One

August 3, 2008 - Day One of the Ohio Adventure - Destination Cheyenne, Wyoming:
We started our road trip Sunday afternoon after church and a delicious Sunday dinner. We packed our stuff up in the suburban AKA The Battleship Death Star Gallactica. We traveled to Evanston, Wyoming where we saw some lovely sights like middle-aged men changing by the gas station pump, and met up with Joni and Rocky. Jamie and I jumped into the Bugly and started the trek to Cheyenne. We saw some pretty cool things like a windmill farm...well that was really the only cool thing. Driving through Wyoming is boring I think.

August 4, 2008 - Day Two of the Ohio Adventure - Destination Kansas City, Kansas
Funny story, when we were talking about going to Kansas City, I immediately thought Kansas City, Nebraska and not Kansas City, Kansas. I told Jamie and she said she was thinking the samething. We must live in the same house or something. It was a long drive to Kansas City. Carli and I started in the Bug, then it went to me and Jamie, then me and Peggy, and finally Jamie and Peggy. I got to ride in the Suburban and watch the first part of the first Lord of the Rings. Then the battery died on the laptop. My dad hooked us up with a night at a Courtyard Marriott. I think it is cause he must work in the CIA or something cause of all the hookups he has. We went swimming in the pool a little after we got there. We had races, played marco polo, had a cannon ball contest and other such things. Dad pulled his gastrocnemius (his calf). He has been limping ever since...poor daada!

August 5, 2008 - Day Three of the Ohio Adventure - Destination Quincy, Illinois
I am definitely sick of fast food. Today we were able to go to the Visitor's Center in Independence, Missouri. It is by the community of Christ's temple. Their temple looks like a futuristic building. It is kind of interesting. I really enjoyed the church history tour. The sister missionary that took us on the tour was very nice. She did a good job. We also got to go see liberty jail. That was really neat. I am very grateful to Joseph Smith and his sacrifices for the Gospel. We stopped in Hannibal Missouri to see the Mark Twain stuff but it was all closed. We were able to see the Mississippi River though. It is huge. It was pretty cool.

Prepare for total Domination

Yesterday we had a soccer game (by we I mean ESM UNITED!) It was such a good one. I think the final score was eleven to five and not only did we win but I scored my first goal ever! It was so awesome. I could hardly believe that it happened. Jamie scored one too. She scored hers first and I decided that I couldn't be shown up by the big sis, so I had to score one too. It was just great. Dave had an amazing one. He scored from the half line. I'm pretty sure that he bended it better than
beckham. It was so cool. I don't remember all who scored but I know Neil and Kami both did. It was just a good game. I wish you could've been there to see it!

I took some pictures but it is so dark in the arena that the pictures don't turn out good. I will keep trying and will eventually get some up!

The Mac

Right now I am at Aunt Sue's house using her new Mac. It is huge. I think that the screen is almost as big as her tv...and the picture is better too! I love it. Anyway, I haven't posted for a while so I will update about what has been going on.
On Tuesday last week, E.S.M. UNITED had a soccer game and we actually won! WOOT WOOT! I still haven't scored a goal but I was close again. It was funny cause apparently the other team thought that our team was stacked. We have 3 people that haven't played soccer before. I'm pretty sure that their whole team had played soccer, but I don't know. We are just lucky to have power forward Neilio and the equally skilled Kami on our team. I guess family teams are just the best.
On Friday, we had a game night! It was way fun. We played pounce, pit, and signs. Me and Jamie dominated the competition at pounce. Ka chow! The people that came were Me, Jamie, Alli, Mark, The Marker, Jackson, Karlie Jean, Joe, Elise, Ben, Jayne, Taylor, and I think that was everyone but if I forgot I'm sorry...not like anyone of them besides Juice and Al will read this. I left my phone in the Marker's car and will hopefully get it back tonight or tomorrow. Jamie actually went on a date I guess with the marker and another couple and guess what they ate...El Sol. All I had for dinner was a poptart and leftover potatoes. What is the deal with that? You'd think that since I was working hard, they would have thought to get me something, but alas they did not.

Safety and Security

I decided that I am going to make my blog more protective for myself so starting August 1st, only the people I choose will be able to read it. I decided that it was time to be safe. Sorry about the extra step of signing in. Thanks!

I heart Batman!

I decided that I am going to marry Batman. So there you have it. Last night, (or this morning..take your pick), a group of us went and saw The Dark Knight. It was awesome! I loved it. Christian Bale and Heath Ledger did an amazing job. The joker was such a weirdy. Sometimes he was creepy and other times he was just funny. Me, Alli, and Jamie laughed the most I think. It was a great show. Batman is the best superhero hands down! Even Neil liked it.

Before the show, Tom Essig, Tony Brown, and I went to the celebration center. It was way fun. We rode the skycoaster, the sonic boom, the go-carts many at time, the sky sling, the swinging thing. We also did the shooting range thing and we did the climbing wall. I'll add the pictures a little later cause I need to take a nap.

SSSSoccer and other tales of adventure

Today E.M.S UNITED had our second soccer game and I must say that I did better. Why might you ask? Because I almost had two goals. One was just off and the other one, the goalie got in the way. Go figure. I had a great time again. We had a few injuries though...Jamie strained her vastus medialis, Mike strained his rectus femoris (yeah..I did take anatomy), Joann strained something too, and Thomas took a ball to the throat...but he was okay. It was crazy. I was tired and I wish Jamie would've been 100% that is for sure. I ate a totino's pizza about 20 minutes before game time. OOPS! That was a big mistake. It was way fun to have a cheering section of Aunt Sue, Grandpa and Grandma Sorenson, and Uncle Fred and Aunt Mary. I forgot my camera but next time, there will be many a picture. Look forward to it.

On Monday we had a great family get together as a going away party for Joni and Rocky. Everyone was there except for Jacque,
Dean, and the boys. I sure miss them. But, I definitely had fun. Peggy sure loved little Maddie and Jamie sure loved Jon's Mazda Rx-8. She wants to get one, but I don't think that will happen. I must say that I am lucky cause I get to travel with Joni and Rocky to Ohio..(I almost wrote Idaho)..I bet ya'll are jealous!

On Sunday, Alli Brown and I drove down to Murray to hear my friend Spike speak in church. He is the last of my boys to leave on their missions. It is all bittersweet but mostly sweet. I am going to miss them a ton but they are doing much better things with their lives. Yeah for missionaries!

Alex, Dave, Me, Spike, Nate
AKA my boys
It was actually their idea to do the nose things.

The past weekend was the Carlisle Family reunion. It was a lot of fun. Joni and Rocky kept steamrolling us while we were all in the tent. In the morning, guess what was for breakfast. My mom brought granola. Yeah..I know. You'd think that we would have bacon and eggs or something but no...granola. I mean seriously, man cannot live by granola alone. Luckily Uncle Dave Carlisle was there to make me some bacon, eggs, and pancakes. They were delicious. I enjoyed it immensely. If you want to look at pictures, go to Joni and Rocky's blog. I forgot my camera yet again.

The First Indoor Game

Me and Jamie had our first real indoor soccer game (I had played some indoor before but this was a real game). I thought it was way fun. I am so glad that we are on a family team because they can't get rid of us. Ha! I have no idea what I am doing with the ball but I can get in the way, that is for sure. It is a good thing I know how to run. The team we played was pretty good I guess. I didn't like the girls though. They weren't very nice. Jamie had an assist in the game, and I almost had one, if I wouldn't have missed the ball. Probably the best thing me and Jamie did during the game was looking like we knew what we were doing. We got the indoor shoes, the shin guards, and the socks. Apparently we have the wrong shorts though. Neil said something about us wearing basketball shorts..I think he was smokin something..I figure that I can be the gangsta soccer player. All in all, I think that E.S.M. united is the best soccer team EVER! Pretty soon we will be pro. Watch for us when we take on Brazil in the next World Cup Championship. Woot Woot!

FOUL BALL

Pretty much my summers consist of working and baseball games. The other night, me, Jamie, and Alli were at another Hyrum Hornets game. A foul ball was hit over the left fence and usually there is a swarm of kids that run to that ball like flies on a cow pie but this time there were zero. So I said "I'll get it." I ran over and got the ball. I decided to make a triumphant return and was saying "Yes! I got it," and I leaped and threw my arms up in the air. When I got by the players dugout, number 21 (I don't know his name) was there and I tossed the ball to him. Jamie or Alli said to ask for an otter pop, so I asked, "Now do I get an otter pop?" And he said, "Do you want one?" And of course I said yes. He asked me what flavor I wanted and I said pink (because pink is a flavor) and then he cut the top off for me and flashed me a way cute smile. I tried to get a foul ball at the game tonight but I was beat by a little boy. I made sure to tell him to get a piece of candy though. It was great!

You know it is a bad night when...

Last night, I was getting ready for bed and was about to brush my teeth. My toothpaste fell out of my hand and fell behind the toilet. It almost fell in but missed by inches. I started laughing and Jamie asked from her bedroom What I was laughing at. I told her that my toothpaste almost fell into the toilet. After I was done brushing my teeth I put my toothbrush back into the cabinet over the toilet and shut the door. When I shut the door, I heard my toothbrush roll and I thought to myself, "When I open that, it is going to fall." I thought I would fix it and opened up the cabinet door again. Lo and Behold, my toothbrush fell into the toilet. You'd think that I would have had enough sense to close the lid to the toilet but obviously I don't. I got the toothbrush out of the toilet and continued to brush my teeth. Just kidding...that would be sick..I actually just tossed it in the trash. Now I have to go get a new one.

Wasatch Back Pics

Here are some of the pictures from the Wasatch Back Relay. If you want the whole story, read the post below entitled "Death by Running."
I was standing on a rock in the middle of a stream (if you couldn't tell) as we were waiting for one of our team members to run by.

Jamie and Gena. Best Friends For Life! Woot Woot!

Me and Jamie by Jordanelle (I think). We were finished! Yahoo! This was in Park City by the finish line. We were waiting for our group to get done. Don't you like how Jamie and Gena look cute and then there is me...flexing...
This is part of the scenic route we took to get to park city. It was definitely beautiful throughout the whole race.

Death by Running

I didn't really die but there were sometimes it probably would have felt better. I just completed the Wasatch Back relay over the weekend. It is an 180 mile race from Logan to Park City. The team consists of two vans with six people in side each one. Each person runs three legs which vary from 3 miles to 8.5 miles. I was the lucky one (thanks to Jamie) and got to run the 8.5 miler.

I was the first runner for my team, the "Spaceburgers." I was happy I got to be the first runner because I got to finish first. That sure was nice. We started at 11:40 am. My first run was 5.1 miles. It started to get pretty warm as I was running. I enjoyed the parts when I had a little cheering section so I want to thank my Mom and Dad, Carli, Peggy, Aunt Sue, Grandpa and Grandma Sorenson, and Alli! It sure helped a lot! I also was grateful for the texts from Joni. Those were nice! Anyway, I handed the little snap bracelet to Jamie after my first leg and got to rest for about eight hours until I ran again. The second leg was the 8.5 miler. It was pretty much all downhill except for the beginning and some parts throughout. You might think that running downhill is easy (which is was for the first 5 miles) but toward the end of my run, all I wanted to do was run uphill. My muscles were so tired from the hard pounding that comes from downhill running. But, I was able to finish and all was well for about another eight hours. That night, as the other van was doing their section of the relay, we were able to get about 2 hours of sleep. It was amazing how well I slept in the car. Then, it was time to run again. My last run was 5.6 miles. It was probably the hardest because my legs were shot. There wasn't much left it them and so I just sort of moseyed along. It took my longer to finish this one but when I finally did, there was much rejoicing. It was great to be done. Now all I had to worry about was relaxing. I slept for pretty much the rest of the time and then my Dad came to pick me and Jamie up to take us back to Logan. We got to stop and Chik-Fil-A on the way up, and that was awesome. It was good to get some food with substance into my fatigued body. I am so glad that it is done but I am also very glad I did it. It was mentally and physically challenging. I can barely walk, and I am very tired but I want to do it again. I would recommend it to anyone that wants an adventure. I'll put up pictures soon!

Work!

So, I work at the D.I. (The dirty) and sometimes I just get angry because people do not know how to work. I am so very grateful that my grandparents taught my parents how to work who then in turn taught me to work. I wouldn't want anyone to be annoyed with me for not working. There are a couple people at my work who just follow everyone else around and talk to them. It is really bothersome. I just don't understand how they feel good about being paid to do virtually nothing but talk. If they wanted to get paid to talk they should just go work at western watts. Sometimes I wonder what the D.I. ever did without me. HaHa! Well, that's all for now. Catch ya'll later!

I love baseball!

Me, Alli Brown (my cousin), Jamie (my sister), and Aunt Sue (my aunt) have been going to hyrum hornet's baseball games. They are so much fun. Even when they lose, I still have a good time. I have come to the conclusion that good company equals good times. I love yelling my old softball cheers like "there he goes just a walkin down the line singing do ah diddee diddee dum diddee doo....." and so on and so forth. It is just a good time all around! GO HORNETS! WOOT WOOT!

Jumping on the bandwagon

Everyone else seems to be making a blog these days so I decided to join the club! Now if we could only get Jamie to join as well. This is going to be short and sweet because I have to work in the morning. Enjoy!
